Sports Injuries
Most Sportsmen are pushing their bodies to the limit time and time again, however carefully they train it will inevitable lead to an injury. The treatment for a sports person is unique, because it is not a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it is vital that any component in training that may be causing the over use is identified and changed, to prevent a recurrence of the injury.
Common Causes
- Doing too much of a particular exercise fatigues the tissue and leads to damage.
- Warming up / Warming down is commonly neglected
- Age - an accumulation of stress or specific structures over many years of repetitive training leads to wear and tear.
- Muscular balance or imbalance. Due to each sport requiring different muscle strength it is very difficult to keep muscles balanced.
